📸 On Tour with James Burton, in Norway

  • Tovita Bråthen Razzi had the honor of joining James Burton, the legendary guitarist who played for Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and many other icons, on a small tour in Norway.
  • James Burton was invited by Flaming Star, the Norwegian Elvis Club—home to one of the world’s finest Elvis fan magazines, which is renowned for its dedication to preserving Elvis’ legacy. The club, led by Pål Granlund, has played a major role in keeping the King’s spirit alive in Norway and WorldWide too. Pål himself has had the honor of meeting Elvis Presley in person six times, a rare and cherished experience for any Elvis fan.
  • During the tour, Tovita didn’t just capture concert photos; she became embedded with the band, gaining rare behind-the-scenes access with Burton and his fellow musicians. James told her, "Don’t say that you know James, say that James knows you." What an incredible compliment, and what an honor for Tovita.
  • Tovita has had the privilege of meeting Burton several times, and each time she’s enjoyed meaningful conversations with him, listening to stories about life on the road with Elvis Presley.

📸 Ron Tutt, the drummer that played for Elvis Presley

  • Ronnie Tutt was also invited to Norway by Flaming Star, the Norwegian Elvis Club, under the leadership of Pål Granlund, who has worked tirelessly to keep Elvis’ legacy alive.
  • Ronnie Tutt, as the drummer for Elvis Presley’s TCB Band, played an essential role in shaping the sound of Elvis' live performances during his final years. His powerful drumming can be heard on some of the most iconic Elvis tracks and live recordings, cementing his place in rock ‘n’ roll history.
  • During his visits to Norway, Tovita had the privilege of sitting down and having several conversations with Ronnie. The last time he was in Norway, they shared a long discussion about life on the road during his tours. Ronnie confided in her that he would not be returning the following year, as he was tired of traveling abroad. Sadly, he passed away later that same year.
  • After his passing, Tovita received a heartfelt message from his wife, Donna Tutt, asking if they could use one of her photos of Ronnie on the front cover of the funeral program. It was a deeply humbling and meaningful honor for Tovita as a photographer to have her work chosen to pay tribute to such a legendary musician.

  • Tovita was personally invited by Pål to be one of the official photographers when the legendary TCB Band performed at Cosmopolite in Norway. She covered the event multiple times, capturing unforgettable moments and even sharing a few conversations with Glen.
